Hi ,

I'm on post-op day 6, soon to be 7 in 1 hour (lol)...and you have my

utmost sympathy with your tongue pain!

I have it too, and was guessing that mine is likely due to the nasal

tube they had going down my nose, throat and into my stomach for

over 12 hours last week.

I notice my tongue pain is worse right after doing the salt water

rinses, it burns for a while then, and also if my mouth gets too

dry; which happens often because I also had my deviated septum fixed

during same surgery so sometimes my nose is plugged up and/or

draining, and I do a considerable amount of mouth breathing at the

moment.

I'm wondering where this clinic is that you're now going to (the

Orofacial pain clinic)?

Take care and I hope both our tongue's feel better soon :-)

Judy

(upper & lower jaw advancement, plus genio, plus deviated septum

fixed, plus uvula removal all on June 20).
