Guest guest
hi, patsy in las vegas here. i mostly lurk, read the posts faithfully everyday and get so much support from this site. decided i would post my thoughts on some recent topics. comfort foods-didnt any of you babyboomers out there eat graham crackers and milk? two ways:dunk in a glass of milk or crumble in a bowl and pour the milk over it. natrol and menopause- i was suddenly having problems sleeping and realized it was probably menopausal symptoms. i got the natrol " sleep and restore " with melatonin and valerian root. out like a lightbulb within 15 minutes and slept all night. i went back to the doc and got back on hrt so dont need the s/r but once in a blue moon. jennifer-welcome to the group and i really enjoyed your story. b12and iron-i am going to get my labs checked even tho i am not due. after reading all the posts and knowing i have been pretty tired lately, maybe i need some extra vits. chewable calcium citrate-i also wanted something to replace my viactivs.never had trouble takin those sweet things. finally broke down and decided to try the powders. michelle has my order as we speak.cannot find twin labs brand of chewables but tried the other brand mentioned-can you say GAG? bariatric advantage were too expensive. now my topic-have spent many hours the past few weeks getting hubby's paperwork ready for his surgery. now the wait begins. i am weary. i think i should become a wls " dula " and hire out my services to preops. i have this stuff down to a science now. i am worried that my husband might die from surgery and scared that he might die while he is waiting for it. he is 60 and has pretty bad heart disease.i am reliving my own anxieties of a year and a half ago when i had mine. i was sure i would die from the surgery but i wanted to at least die trying. love this group. patsy in las vegas
