Can't get elastics on HELP

Today was my follow up appointment and my OS replaced my elastics with

2 elastics one on each side that spans over about 4 teeth, it goes

right back to my molars.

I can't get them off much less even worry about getting them on.

I've thought about just cutting them, but I'm worried I can't get them

back on. I tried putting another elastic overtop of where the current

one is and I just can't get it on. I've been trying for 3 hours now

and no luck, im out of patience and depressed and frustrated. I want

to cry.

What if I don't take them off?? Is there any harm?

Any advice on easier ways to remove them? And how do u move ur lip and

cheek out of the way to get them back on?

Someone please help I just want to go cry.
