Guest guest
Well, friends, I had my BIG iron infusion and my ferritin went from 7 to 177, hemoglobin went from 12.7 to 13.9, B-12 is over 2000. So, I guess I'm not anemic anymore. I sure wish I had more energy, though. Any thoughts? in Austin RNY April 1998
Guest guest
, I'm jealous! I am so happy your levels went up so well! Maybe the reason you are still tired is that you haven't built these levels up where they are stored. Maybe it's running well in your blood stream but you need your reserve tank full? Make sense? Give it a little time and stay on top of it. I know at one time, if I got a B-12 shot, within 24 hours I would be full of energy. Now it takes me awhile for it to kick in. I've been getting iron infusions twice a week for awhile now. I'm scheduled for 23 infusions and have had 15. My hemoglobin has gone from 8.7 to, as of yesterday, 12.1. As my counts have slowly come up, my energy level has gone up with it. Can it be that you got that one BIG infusion that brought your counts up, but the rest of you hasn't caught up with it yet? Just an idea. All I know is I feel pretty much like a million bucks compared to what I was like a few months ago. Give it some time. You may notice a change over the next few days or weeks. Again, just a thought. Regina
