Lumbar puncture - When to ask for a blood patch?

Hi there,

I had a LB on Wednesday afternoon and while the procedure went exceptionally

well I started to get really bad headaches and nausea about 24 h after, and

TODAY my work sent me home in a taxi after I almost vomited in the bosses paper

waste bin...so embarrassing! I've tried all advised stuff like neurofen plus,

coffee, lots of fluids and bed rest but every time I try to stand-up, the

headache intensifies and I just want to hurl. I'm just wondering how soon after

a LB a blood patch is warranted? It's been 48 h so far...
