My Excalibur 9 tray dehydrator works great. I got it from www.lucykitchen.com.

If you go to the site, they have smaller ones too. It has so many different

uses.

I didn't eat yogurt until at least my 3rd month on the diet because I reacted to

it so violently.

GOOD LUCK!!!

have a little stove that has no light.. so i'm looking at getting a yogurt maker

that would allow the 24 hr time... most makers that i'm looking at say 6-8 hrs

time.. do we just leave it in there longer? any recommendations on machines? are

they safe? as in.. leaving my apartment for 24 hrs with it on.. and.. no

problems? thank you all.. it wonderful to see that i'm not alone in this .. i

started having symptoms after i quit smoking and 5 months later.. was diagnosed

with Ulcerative Colitis..

Yogurt

makers are very helpful. We do want to let the milk ferment for 24 to 30

hours, to remove most of the lactose and increase the probiotics. Disregard the

information on how long to let the milk ferment that come in the yogurt maker

instructions. Six to eight hours isn’t enough time to accomplish

the lactose removal; this is why we don’t eat commercial yogurts. I’ve

had no issues with yogurt makers being left on for 24 hours and being gone to

work. There isn’t much voltage required for the yogurt maker.

And I haven’t heard of any stories of a yogurt maker catching on fire or

causing problems of that type.

I

have a Yogourmet yogurt maker, but there are several other types of yogurt

makers that are good.
