Guest guest
Hi, am fine doing that. Did you then--or have you ever [?!] made chicken in microwave? I will not have access to a cooktop, far as I know. My image of microwave chicken/chicken from microwave prepped soup is one of those rubber chickens. I have plenty made to get there. But that leaves 4-5 days. Can always do eggs, off course. and I have found olives with fruit very satisfying on the road. But never thought of mking the soup in microwave. No point though if it gets vulcanized. Thoughts? Thank you! Ruth On Jun 16, 2010, at 3:18 AM, BTVC-SCD wrote: 10b.Re: travel + chicken soupPosted by: " Wizop Marilyn L. Check with the hotel and find out if you can borrow a suitable container. Worst they can do is say, " No. " Alternative is to do what I did while staying at the Alpine Center in Lake Louise: they had a kitchen (fully equipped, they said, like they had any idea of an SCD cook hitting the place!). I hit a store in Banff, bought a few inexpensive items, and then donated them to the Center's kitchen when I left. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle Back to top Reply to sender | Reply to group | Reply via web post Messages in this topic (2)

Could you just make a batch at home, freeze it, and take it with you instead of having to make it there? Cheers! Can't say that I have. I have roasted a turkey in a microwave, though, and it does not turn out rubbery. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
