Guest guest
Hi Vee, I working for attorneys did everything I legally thought I should do before surgery. I did a Living Will and Medical Power of Attorney in case something should happen. Thank God it was never needed. I didn't need to since I have no children but you can have prepared a Medical Release form appointing someone to care for your child/children while you are in the hospital. I also had my Will prepared, but long before having the surgery. It something everyone should have done, that where there is no question as what to do. I don't even have anything of value to leave anyone but I still have one. Guest guest
Yale required me to have a living will, i also had my husband a paper giving him the right to make any decisions for me in case anything goes wrong with me he makes the decisions what if any medical treatment i receive. I asked if i can write something up and have it noterized and they said a legal office or officer has to write it up adn be noterized. Luckily hubby is in the navy so i had it done at teh legal office on base. i guess you can call around where you live and see who can do it for you. Patty S Have a great day!
