Guest guest
Hello all .. Im a new member from the Washington, DC area. 38 y/o Black Female. I'm just now beginning the process of what you have to go thru in order to have the Bypass surgery. Any help or suggestions are MORE THAN WELCOME. I'm excited ... yet scared of what's to come. I know the process will be a long one, because I have an HMO (Kaiser Permanente) and they literally make you jump thru hoops in order to be approved for the surgery. The first steps are to take a Nutrition Class and a Weight-Loss Surgery Class .. after that point you meet with a Nutritionist for several monthly sessions (which during that time you must lose 10% of your total body weight) before you are truly considered for the surgery. So again, ANY SUGGESTIONS, especially from those persons who also have Kaiser insurance would be more than appreciated. I promise to respond to all. Thanks!! And I look forward to keeping in touch with everyone! ~~Tee
