Guest guest
Cindy, I do all of the right things. My only carb excess is popcorn. My stoma has a silastic ring and I know it works because if I eat too much heavy protein it hurts. But I can eat a lot at meals (for a wls person) and I am hungry all of the time. Shakes do not help, I am still hungry. I do not crave any specific food and am therefore able to stick with protein. I take Lexapro for depression. Along with this hunger is fatigue and a great deal of body pain. I have fought the notion that there was such a thing as fibromyalgia. I just believed that was a made up thing to shut us complainers up. Now I am sure I have it. But I feel emotionally sound and do not feel that I stress eat. I am about ready to accept the fact that this is what is and accept that I will have a slow weight gain, which is what I had preop.
