Guest guest
Some people just have noisier digestive tracts than others! Most bowel sounds are from the muscle activity (peristalsis) of food moving through the intestinal tract. Sometimes it generates more noise than at other times. Sometimes it can be a sign of a reaction to food or increased bacterial activity, but there are usually other symptoms like gas or bloating. But if there are no other symptoms, or a worsening of your daughter’s UC symptoms, than I wouldn’t worry. I’ve met a number of people over the years (I work in a library so see a lot of people) who just have noisy digestions! Kim M. SCD 6 years Sphincter of Oddi dysfunction 6+ years neurological & spinal deterioration 3+ years <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< My daughter is 3yrs old, has UC for 1yr now and been on SCD for 3 months. She is not on any medication. When she sleeps, we can hear popping and growling sounds coming out of her stomach / intestine area. Is this normal for UC? Can something done to control this. Is it food causing this? Does anyone else have similar experience? She does take goat yogurt and probiotics. thank you all in advance.
