The only problem would be if you're lactose intolerant, but if you're not, then enjoy it. I ate a lot of it during my early months without any problems at all, even though I couldn't tolerate milk. Guest guest
I don't think most would have a problem with low-fat cottage cheese. You may want to limit it to once daily though and make sure not to add anything to it like fruit. As far as you craving it, well, we all go through that. Our bodies need these things and we try to give it what it needs. Do you drink protein shakes? Maybe instead of a second serving of cottage cheese you should try a shake instead. (That's a low carb, 30g shake made with water.) Vitalady and the rest might have more of an idea about why/if cottage is bad for you. I tried the stuff early post-op and thought I was going to hurl every time I tried to eat it, the experience stayed with me long enough that I don't even look at the stuff. Although now I think, mmm, would be good with peaches. I myself was a slow loser. At my 1 yr anniv I was at 97lbs down from surgery date. Right now I am at 118 down. You lose after year one, just slowly. M Amarillo, Tx > does the milk no-no apply to all dairy products? As in cottage > cheese. I am absolutely craving cottage cheese.
