Marla, I'm only 8 mos. late in scoring your rant, but I couldn't pass it up!

Very descriptive, with lots of caps. No profanity, which I know is not your style. Still, an occasional !*$@a does add a little flair. I loved the way you described the doctor's assessment "No ring of shadow of sarcoid" and your response, "WHAT?" I could just picture your expression!

This is my story why I try to stay away from the ER, this past week, I was getting worse, went to family doc as Pulmonologist couldn't see me, (I am going to have a talk with him). so I saw my family doc and she gave me nebulizer treatments, a new antibiotic, and pred 80 mgs. well the Nebulizer was making me feel tighter, and the pred just made me crazy, I think I've hit that level, I was up 27 hours, I had to sit up, and when I would doze I would slip down in the chair and couldn't breathe, so I would sit up, I was so restless, anyway it was awful, I couldn't seem to catch my breathe, so I called the same doc in the am and she said go to the ER, I didn't want to, but I did, that slap the pule ox on me, and it was like 93, and as long as I didn't talk or cough it stayed in the 90's, but when I started talking, it dropped\in the 80's. they gave me a neb treatment too, Chest X-ray, and blood test, and the Doc comes in and says "I JUST DON'T SEE ANY REASON TO ADMIT YOU", I looked at him like he was crazy, and said I didn't come to be admitted, I came to breathe, and he said well your X-ray is fine, and I don't see THE RING OF SHADOW OF SARCOID?? WHAT.OK so I'm thinking he know nothing about Sarcoid, as most don't, and he looked at meand said WHAT CAN I DO FOR YOU, in a sarcastic way, I told him to give me IV Steroids, and he said DONE, I'LL SEND THE NURSE IN WITH THAT, AND THEN YOU CAN GO HOME. So I will never unless I am dying go to the ER, NOT to say you shouldn't go if you think you need to, you should go. It's just that the ER docs are not up on Sarcoid. and from the time I hit the door, I keep saying can you see who's on call for the Pulmonologist and have them come see me, he said NO we don't bother those docs until we have all the information. I still have a productive cough, and no energy. I get Remicade Wed. so I hope that helps, I am still on an Antibiotic too. sorry to be so long, I guess I needed to rant, what do you think Rose, a good rant or not.
