Well, I called Dr. Oh's office this morning. I have been given the

date of Jan. 6, 2004. I am grateful for my approval, etc. etc. etc.

but I am so upset about the date. A lot of it has to do with the

office dropped the ball so often that it took a month for my letter

to even get sent to my insurance. I told them I would self pay if

necessary, but they said if they put me down as a self pay, they

would stop the insurance process. I don't get that, but their policy

is their policy.

I had to constantly call & often thinking things had been taken care

of, would find out either no one knew what I was talking about or it

didn't get done. When I got my verbal approval, I tried to get

scheduled, but was told they needed the authorization number.

Yesterday I got my copy of the approval, they asked me to fax it to

them & said they would call me the next day to give me my date. I

called this morning & having been assured that the 3rd week in Dec.

was when they were booking, now told it would be Jan 6.

Yes, I have a date - Yes, I have a date...

It's just that my body is fighting this surgery & if I eat any kind

of fruit, bread, pasta, rice, etc. in any amount, the scale goes up.

The range that my weight floats in is getting higher - gradually.

I know I am whining & I don't mean to be ungrateful. I know there

are those who have not been able to get insurance approval & cannot

self pay even for a first time surgery.

Okay - I'm better now - trying to breathe.

Thanks for listening

Lorraine
