Guest guest
Kat, It's a win win situation with the Imuran, if you have problems you can stop it, but if you never try, you will never know what if could of done for you. Jump in with both feet, and your in my prayers. MarlaJust one day at a time, That's all God ask of us. for there never really is a tomorrow, as that too is just today:) I, like you, had the same problems. I had to go through 20 IVs of solumedrol plus 60 mg of prednisone at the same time. The 20 IVs were over 1 1/2 years. I also had the facial palsy but eventually it went away being on prednisone. I also had trouble when reducing prednisone that my vision would act up. I have gone down as far as 13 to 18 mg only to have the vision get worse. I do have a lot of optic nerve damage but he is surprised as how much I can see even with the damage. You can't see where the areas of damage are but found I have to turn my head to see certain things ie., like 5 is a 5 or a 6 is a 6 etc. I have been on prednisone for almost 4 years and since my eye apparently seems to always be attacked by the sarcoid they want to wean me off and put me on Imuran. Which I know I have told the group I am leary about doing with the job I have. I know I will have to make a decision shortly but really don't want to.
