Guest guest
Thats probably temp numbness not really 'nerve damage' My OS gave me a stat like 30% regain feeling after 3 months, 60% after six months, etc. I had a little numb spot after a year and its now very tiny on the side of my lip after three. They do irritate the main nerve as well as severely 'block' it which is why this surgeries aren't as 'painful' as one might expect. There are some people who do experience nerve damage if the nerve was really damaged/cut etc. But above all relax, and when those tingly, weird sensations comeback rejoice then play with your numb areas to help rewire the brain to interpret the sensations for what they are. As you can get weird messages on a hot day your chin feels cold. I just had a leforte my upper lip feels dry and on fire...and I love it as I know those nerves are healing! Alison > Hey, > I just had my surgary a week and half ago and my lip and chin are still > numb. My Doctor talked about maybe having nerve damage. Is there anyone > who had this problem that i could talk to or how long did it take for > that feeling to come back? Or if you have nerve damage did it over > months or year come back at all?
