Guest guest
Hi Sara, Yeah I guess so. They make low acid OJ too. I avoided OJ completely for a little while after my extractions because I didn't want to irritate the extraction sites. It might help if surgery leaves me with a yucky taste in my mouth, but you're right, I would probably use it just to gargle. For at least those first few weeks, I'll probably ask my OS about every single thing I put in my mouth ~Joanne PS Does it get as hot in Italy as it does here? Do you use air conditioning? I didn't see any in France... > Not sure. My OS told me to avoid OJ for the first 10 days in general > because he said that it can be too acidic on the stomach after the > anesthesia. Guest guest
Joanne, It's about 40 degrees celcius here during the day which I think is about 110 degrees Farenheit...never got my head around converting celcius. Anyway, it is HOT HOT HOT! I'm so glad I wasn't here right after surgery. I think I would have died because in Italy A/C is not that popular. In fact I'm not a great fan of it either as I tend to always get sore throats and colds with it but in this heat it is practically necessary. Luckily in my house here in Milan I have it in my bedroom and the rest of the rooms are ventilated with fans. Pretty soon I'll be forced to rush off to the countryside in Tuscany for some relief although my fiance' tells me it is scorching hot there too. Oh as for food after surgery, I've pestered my OS countless times about what I could and could not eat. Funnily enough he told me no tartufo for when I was here in Italy but yes to fish and pasta. Tonight I had some very yummy ravioli with cooked tomatoes and crab pulp sauce. Delicious! I've missed home cooking! How's your bone site coming along? Feeling better I hope. Sara > > Not sure.
