Fay,

first off you are not a lowly pre-opper but a super dooper brave pre-

opper. I think us post-opers have it easy some of the time because we

know already what the surgery was like whereas as I know that pre-op

I was always wondering what would happen.

And yes, you are along the same wavelengths as me! I totally

understand where you are coming from. And like you said, it just

takes getting used to I suppose and I should really thank my lucky

stars because in terms of things that could have gone wrong for me

post-op, well it could have been so much worse and this is really

just a minor annoying factor of life post-op. As far as personality

goes, yes we might become more confident but I think we'll be just

the same deep down inside, only more smiley and surely that can't be

a bad thing.

Your surgery date is almost here Fay and soon the agonizing waiting

will be over at last! Good luck!! I'll be thinking of you and holding

your hand as you enter the OR room:-)
