I have to tell everyone, I was so impressed! There is a new head

gastro doc here at our local hospital. I don't know where the old guy went

buy yippie! This man new exactly what I was talking about and he knew what

HE was talking about. I have lived over here in Denmark for 3 and a half

years struggling to get my levels where they should be. Prior to coming here

from sunny Pensacola my labs looked pretty good. My only problem was low

sodium, a little on the low end on the iron and a little low on cholesterol.

No biggie, manageable. Since coming here the levels have gradually " gone in

the toilet " (wasn't that your phrase Vitalady..lol?). I have been asking for

prescription vits and looking for the best of everything I could find, not

to mention, spending a fortune and things weren't getting better.

Right away, I got injections for D and A vitamin. He was the first in 10

years to test my A levels. This was at 1.1 and should be between 1.8-3.9. I

am to go back in two weeks for more injections, then 2 months until up and

every 6 months after that if needed. He wrote me prescriptions for calcium

and D3, Potassium, Zinc, Magnesium and a better Iron than I have. All of

these are covered by insurance after my share...which I met this year a long

time ago. He wants to get me in for another Dexascan. The other docs told me

I had to wait 5 years. He insisted we do something right away to get my bone

mass back. He said he wasn't going to let my bones start breaking on me. Now

I wish we weren't moving back home in Jan...lol. Not really, but I need to

find another good doc when I do go back!

There have been symptoms of these low levels. Nice to know it hasn't been in

my head. I think the hubby was beginning to think I was a hypochondriac. I

was just so fit and strong before we came here. I looked better and felt

better. It's nice to know I'm headed in the right direction. I will post my

last labs.

Dawn

PS- Sue, I haven't heard of Ostivone Ipraflavone. I will ask when I go back

to see what he says.
