Rose,

Yes of course I had a CO monitor, what do you think I'm a moron, an idiot, what type of doofus do you think I am. It was one of the first things I bought. I bought it 15 years ago when we built this house. I can't believe you would think so little of me to ask that question.

I think it's time to take it out of the shelf in my office, take it out of the box and put a battery in it. What do you think? :) (wish I was kidding)

Re: Hello? Hello? Anybody there?

Just am starting to feel better from the worst 4 week period since the last time I was hospitalized. Thought I was going to end up back in. Severe URI, Pneumonia and all the fun Sarcoid issue's. Went up to 40 mg of Prenisone along with my plaquinil and methotrexate. Was on Levaquin 750 for 3 weeks. Just wasn't getting better then found out (on their 8th trip out to fix my heat) that there was a crack and I had been breathing in Carbon Monoxide for weeks or longer. That has to do wonders for the Sarc monster (don't you think?) Spent 8 grand putting a new system in and am starting to feel better but have no energy and the pain levels are off the scale. Also have to take a break after walking up the stairs,, but who doe

sn't lol Very rarely do I feel sorry for myself for getting this crappy disease, this wasn't one off them but it was close. I just always think of the people in the world who are in much worse shape then me and then Thank G-d for the life I have, my loving wife and 2 wonderful sons. That's it for me, counting down days till my first vacation in 5 years. It's a week with my in-laws (which is never fun) but I must really need a vacation because it was I who suggested flying down to Florida Christmas week to spend it with them. This disease is eating my brain.

G-d Bless,

Mitch

wow, Mitch, rein it in! Rose is one of the nicest people in the world and there is no reason to respond to her that way. i didn't notice the air of condescention that you got out of her post. Maybe you should wait a day or two the next time you get mad and let yourself simmer down before going off on someone as compassionate as Rose. We are all sick here and no one is allowed to post disrespectfully to one another. You totally took it the wrong way. She was speaking from her own experiences...reread it to see....and you need to apologize!!! now i need to back off..... S.Life

may not always be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we might as well dance!

I'm sorry you took it the wrong way. I wasn't being hard on Rose, she's great and I love her; If you read it again you'll see I was making fun of myself not being mean to her. The whole point of it was I did have a CO monitor but never took it out of the box for 15 years. Rose if you misunderstood or didn't see I was making fun of myself not insulting you I apologize. The whole point was to show what an idiot I was for having it and not using it for 15 years and having it almost kill me. I'm sorry if anyone (especially Rose) took it the wrong way.

That reminds me, I need to get some 9-volt batteries to change out my smoke detectors! Thanks!

Mitch, I have to admit that when I first started reading your post, I thought, "Someone got up on the wrong side of the bed today!" Then I finished it & had to laugh.

Mitch, how funny, you go on about having one, then don't even have it out of the box. LOL and the trip to FL, at least it's a break from everyday life, and we need those breaks, even if we have to spend it with in laws, my husband has to live with his Mother in law:)

(although she is so easy to have around)  She's still here if you what I mean. All this CO2 talk is kind of funny, our fireplace broke in the spring, so we said we would wait until winter to get it fixed, and fireplace man was out to fix it, order a new part, and charge

a pretty big fee, and after he left we could smell gas, my husband walked in the door and said I smell gas, well since the fireplace was just fixed by a very expensive person we were looking at every thing else, then the next day it was on, I was in my office with the door closed and when I opened it I got hit in the face with the smell. I turned it off open doors and windows, got cold fast, but better, so when my husband came home he worked with and managed to get the logs and all set just right so we can stay warm and toasty, and no more problems, but I did pick up a CO2 monitor, and my husband said it was the wrong one, I never buy the right one, so it's still in the box too, LOL

Life is funny and each day is very different!  so live it to the fullest!  MarlaJust one day at a time, That's all God ask of us. for there never really is a tomorrow, as that too

is just today:)
