How long did you wear a splint for and, once removed, how long before

you could eat soft foods (scrambled eggs etc) again?

My op (lower jaw advancement, rigid fixation) was on Monday and

tomorrow I see my ortho with the apparent intention of removing my

splint. Sounds great but from what I've been reading here that seems

far too quick and I don't want to be planning for real food just to be

told I need another week of splints, wires, soups and V8.

Anyone had a similar experience?
