Guest guest
Hi Sara, Tiger is trying to hold on! Like I said before sometimes it just feels like I am stuck in this time warp and I wake up and it's the same day as yesterday...(haha) I am like what's up with that date not getting any closer..(haha) Glad to hear that talking is coming a little bit easier for you. That has got to be frustrating not having others understand what you are trying to say. My coworkers are excited that I may return to work and not be able to talk. I love to talk and probably talk their heads off..(haha) That's okay, they are going to be bored without me here next month..(haha) I guess you are right in the doctor waiting to give the prescriptions after surgery. He is probably wanting to wait to see how much pain etc. I am having to know what to prescribe. It sounds like a good explanation if nothing else..(haha) Anyway, thanks for the movie update in one of your other post. Maybe I will venture out to see that movie this weekend. I keep thinking that maybe I need to get a little sun also because I am white as a ghost! Boy those bruise marks after surgery are really going to stand out on this white skin..(haha) Have a Great Day, > Well , I can tell you that with these less tight elastics on I am > now able to open my mouth a little more and it has made talking a > little easier in that my boyfriend says I talk a lot better now. I went > out tonight with 2 friends and they pretty much understood everything I > said minus a few things. I however would not feel comfortable going > back to a job where I have to speak to absolute strangers just yet > because I still sound like a 6 year old. For example " tree " is > now " twee " and " brush " is " brussccchh " and so forth. Maybe your OS > expects to take the splint off after two weeks if you end up having it. > I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my splint will come off soon. > > Oh and the prescriptions, tell me about it! My doctor didn't give them > to me until after the surgery which meant that had I been on my own I > would have had to go to the pharmacy right after the surgery to get the > prescriptions filled out. Luckily my mom was here so she did it for me > but I did think it was odd too and I had asked pre-surgery for the > prescriptions and got the same answer you did. Maybe it's because only > once they discharge you they can figure out how much penicillin or > other antibiotic you need to take, how many different nasal sprays you > need and how much pain killer you need. What ever you do, try to find a > flavor of penicillin that you like because the one I got honestly made > me gag each time I had to take it. It was one of the worse parts of > recovery. Yuck! > > Hold on tiger, 10 days is almost here and then before you know it it > will be D-DAY. > > Sara
