Guest guest
They don't always. But when they do, they're either to hold the wires or the elastics. Some people have hooks the whole time they're in braces. Sometimes they use the lugs you already have for the elastics. Sometimes they put extra hooks in, to be able to arrange things the way they need be. In my case the first surgery all was well the I had hardware failure and had to have asecond surgery 2 weeks later, good thing I had the jsut in case wire because I had to be wire shut. They really aren't bad at all. The first day you may had a tender spot not unlike when you first had braces. Michele
