Guest guest
I have been following the post on Hypoglycemia and I thought to share what helped me tremendously. My Endocrinologist thinks Hypoglycemia is precursor to diabetic. So, he prescribed GlucophageXR( Time Release) for me. It is the best thing for me to keep my insulin level even all day long. I don't get dumping any more because of GlucophageXR(I am not sure to be happy about this part or upset). My blood sugar has never been over 100 even before my first wls. So, technically I am not diabetic. My Endo. thinks this med has been the best. He says since the generic Glucophage was coming to market and the manufacturer was going to lose money they came up with Glucophage XR(Time Release). According to my doctor, the manufacturer had no idea what a wonderful medicine they are making. If you are hypoglycemic, you might want to talk to your Endo for Glucophage XR, it is the best thing to keep the insulin level even all day long. No craving! My endo prescribed 2/day (750 mg) for me. Another problem some of us " morbidly obese " experience is we might have had PolySysticOvaries which affects insulin. The treatment for this condition is medicine which regulates insulin. Again, I have never been diagnosed with this condition but my Endo thinks I have all the symptoms with the exception of my blood pressure has always been very low. Hoping this info might help some of you, M. Lap Proximal RNY 98 Lap Medial RNY, Oct. 03 Re: Hypoglycemia (advise needed) > > > How low?
