Guest guest
The hospital that I had my surgery in on Feb.12, 2002 has temporarily stopped doing the surgeries. A patient died on Tuesday and more is coming out on the news about other patients that have died. There is only one surgeon that performs them at that hospital. I personally seem to be fine as far as my mechanics go (I've never been happy with the Dr's after care). I was one of the first 100 patients he ever did the surgery on, but have been feeling that his office has just gone into " mass production " mode. I've been concerned that something would go wrong. When I saw him it was 2 months from my initial consultation until my surgery. Now you have to go through 3 months of counseling and seminars to learn everything you can... which is good. I guess I'm posting this because it shook me just a little. I was never concerned that something would go wrong with my surgery.... but in reality it could have. I have not lost the weight that I had expected to, and the surgeon has been telling me " I don't know what to tell you. " I know he thinks I'm one of the non-compliant ones, but that's not true. Anyway, I just wanted to let you all know and to put a voice to how lucky I feel. Hugs to all, Tigger
