Guest guest
Hi ! Yes, my nurses (and husband) were on a strict schedule with my ice around the clock. I had new ice every hour (more if I asked for it) and maybe that made a difference. What ever worked, makes me happy I'm sorry to hear that you still have a cross bite. Hopefully that will work out in time. Best of luck with it. I haven't had one smoothie or shake. I've had ensure (I love the vanilla), but the rest of the food is whatever everyone eats we throw mine in a blender. It doesn't look pretty, but it taste pretty good. I am having a problem with chocolate flavors - I normally love and crave chocolate a lot...right now it makes me naseous. As long as I stay away from chocolate I do fine. I have also tried some baby foods with meat in them and they aren't that bad. My oral surgeon gave me a recipe book called " Dinner Through a Straw " . They have some pretty good recipes. I believe they are online at http://www.dinnerthroughastraw.com. I'm not sure if you can read the recipes online. If not, I'd be happy to scan it in and email it to you - just let me know. How long are you on a liquid/soft food diet? I have a minimum of six weeks that I'm forbideen to chew and maybe eight - it depends on how the healing goes. I need to get up and get some work done. So glad that I work from home. I certainly couldn't be venturing off to an office yet. I only took Monday and Tuesday off last week and returned to work on Wednesday. I only work part time and do it on my own time, so that helps. This way I can work when I want and rest when I want. I have 3 boss' and they have all been super. Have a good one.
