Guest guest
Hi Diane, Just wanted to let you know that my OS only performs about 1 Orthognathic surgery a month if even that. He averages about 8 to 12 a year. So it is not unusual for an OS to perform that low a number. One of the reasons he said he performs so few is that he stated he prefers to focus on one patient at a time and get them through recovery before starting on another Orthognathic patient. He said the recovery from this surgery is quite a bit slower than other surgeries and if he performed more surgeries he would not be able to give the 1 on 1 care that I am now receiving. I guess that would be true because he would always be at the hospital in surgeries. So that sounded good enough to me and he is the most highly recommended OS in this area according to my dearest friend who is an Endodontist. My OD and Dentist also stated he is the only OS that they would 100% trust to perform this surgery. --Caboose > > > I asked my surgeon how many he did last year and was shocked to > hear > > > that he only did about 8 of them...
