Hi Beth!

I am well known at my orthos as a clean freak. I admit that this is

new for me, but since I have had braces, I have had no patience for

the least amount of crap in my teeth.

For the most part, it comes down to the tools you use. This is what

I use:

1. Sonicare ultrasonic toothbrush. Awesome. Times your brushing too.

2. Dental " tape " floss. grabs plaque better than anything else.

3. Proxa Brush. Great for between brackets!

4. Waterpic. use on a low setting. Great for removing impacted food.

5. Water. for when you cant brush right away. just rinse.

I hope that helps!

Hi Beth!

That is correct. Smaller more portable versions are often available

at drugstores near the toothpaste.

What about one of those little brushes, I think it is called an interdentla or

interproximal brush? Flossing is really important because if the gums get

inflamed then it is harder to move the teeth.
