Guest guest
I want to thank everyone for the responses. I called to speak with my surgeon today. He won't be in until Tuesday. I did speak with one of the nurses. I am still not completely at ease but I will go in if things progressively get worse. This is a private hospital and patients can go in to be seen at any time if there is need. They are really very good to me out there. Now I tried to explain but not sure I made myself totally clear...English/Danish conversation. My biggest concern is the pus that came out. She kept saying it's normal for plasma to come out. We all know the difference. On the good side of this is that the swelling seems to slowly be going down. It has been draining since coming open. I have no fever and it doesn't hurt so much. Every now and then I get a stick pain but then it stops. The worst part now is just looking at it. The skin where the necrosis is, is absolutely not something I want to look at. I see that I have scared a couple of people about having PS. This is not my intention. I would still do it again. I just have had one bad experience. I have had several surgeries by now in my life and this is the first problem. I will post pictures this evening if I can get my digital camera to cooperate. (It sucks the life out of the batteries after one or two pictures.) I want yall to see my surgeon did a beautiful job and this isn't his fault. I do want others who run into this problem to see what to expect though. There were a couple that sent pictures which was helpful. You cannot find picture online...at least I couldn't. I only had a lift. No implants. My nipples were not grafted on. The breast with the nipples attached were moved up into the new position. The antibiotic I was given was Dicillian. This is supposed to be the best for this type of operation here in Denmark. I was wondering if malabsorption may have interfered with the process. I wonder if actually I took half doses for 10 days. I love the tile example you gave Peggy. Good point. Once again, thank you all so very much. It's so nice to know that I'm not over reacting. I will keep everyone posted. Thanks again, Dawn
