Guest guest
Dawn: I have to second this motion. When I had an incision infection (different part of the body for me), my doctor also followed me daily until it was better, and then saw me at least several times a week...then once a week. At about three months out or so, it was monthly, and eventually it healed. If it were my breast, I'd probably be in there every 10 minutes driving them crazy! You should absolutely go back to the doctor as often as you deem necessary. Three months sounds like a very long time to me, too. He might be used to dealing with these things, but we are not. Follow your gut and trust your instincts. =) pandy [snip] The point here is, it is your MDs responsibility to properly follow you post op. for him to ask you to return in three months with an infected, necrotic wound is not right.
