Hi ,

I think you might know I'm not much of a believer in CST etc. I haven't tried

it, but I am definitely a skeptic. Some babies heads do improve, but I don't

know if the credit really goes to CST. However I do know what you mean about

being disappointed not to see improvement. Sydney was quite young when she

graduated (10 mo), and I was hoping for some " natural " correction. As far as I

can tell there hasn't been much. 4 mo after her graduation I took her for

another starscan and like , her head had grown, but not improved. Now

she's 4 yrs, and I still see the odd parts of her head most times I wash her

hair. Luckily her hair is dry so I don't wash it daily ;-) I don't thing her

head was bad enough to justify a 2nd band when she graduated, but still I always

wanted her head to be perfect. I honestly don't think anyone but me sees her

head shape as being different now. her numbers are lower than (86 or so

last time she was checked), but she has some odd angles.

When she was 2.5 I was really tempted to get her head rescanned because I felt

like there was some regression. Honestly I think I just freak out from time to

time. It is hard when you realize your kids head is deformed, and there is

something you could have done to prevent or minimize it if you had known sooner.

I guess that is why I'm still very involved in this group several years after

her graduation - to hopefully prevent a few others from feeling like this.

However it does seem to me that you've done your best for 's head, and it

might be time to just accept that it is likely to stay this way. Any changes

will just be a nice surprise. I would like to see the pictures if you get a

chance to post them.

confirmed. This time, her head width and legnth were identical to the numbers

from August. However, her plagio numbers were similar to last time (0

difference). This was true even though she had grown 1/2 inch (12.7 mm)  since

August. The good news is that her measurements show no increase in width in over

a year. The bad news is that even though her head looks longer to me, it's not

showing up with these hand measurements. Her length hasn't increased since

August. Or course, it's confusing to me how her head could have grown over a cm

and not gotten longer or wider (measurement error?)

usually just convert them. So, one eighth of an inch is about 3 mm so any

small changes are less likely to show up they way that she measures it.

PT is really thinking that there is no more reason to continue because of her

age and because she looks pretty good. She did give the option of another

appointment in a couple of months, but I'm not sure that it's worth it. We've

only gone monthly this time around and I'm not sure that we've gotten full

benefit because of it.

from that. She does continue to go for maintenance appointments.

let it go. It's so hard to describe what 's head looks like. I've taken

some recent pictures and I'll think I'll try and post them to get people's

feedback. I'd like to know what others would do if their child's head looks the

way that 's does. It honestly looks quite good considering where we

started, but I was really hoping to get her below 90 percent. I'm not even

looking for a lower 80's number since that would not be realistic given her age.

the route to go, but my ortho left us saying that 's head wouldn't change

anymore because of her age. So, it'll be hard for me to call her and ask for a

scan. She'll tell me that there's no need and I'll be embarrased if she's right

that there's no change.
