Hey Folks!

It's been a while since I've written but i just wanted to check in. Jane- I'm

jealous... you're

already getting your braces off and you had surgery a month after me... I'm

still wearing

rubber bands on the sides about 50% of the time!!! I'll hopefully get the braces

off by the

end of summer. Lord help me... I'd better!

About 3.5 months post-op and I've been eating normal for months... I had a steak

sandwich for dinner. All the swellings been gone for months as well and my

weight is

certainly back up to normal. (today I wore the tiny mini skirt I bought at my

lowest weight

and I had to keep yanking it down.. apparently, with my tush a bit bigger, the

skirt

shimmies up when I walk... or sit... or stand still...)

The one thing that took the longest to go back to normal was my skin which broke

out

about 2-3 weeks after surgery... The zits would NOT go away... I finally started

using my

brothers proactive and now it's mostly better but still a bit unpredictable...

weird...

Other than that, and the fact that I can bite through sashimi without making a

mess, it's

almost as if the surgery never happened. Granted, for the rest of my life, I

will remember

2005 as the year that had no February (that month - the one where I was healing-

practically disappeared from the calendar)

I have an appt. at the surgeon tomorrow to track my progress and hopefully learn

that the

rubber bands are pretty uneless at this point... and then monday at the ortho to

hopefully

learn when the braces are coming off... I yearn for the day.... though, it's

nice to constantly

hear how young I look... I guess I'll have to replace the braces with eye

creams.

All the best,

Tova
