Hi. It has taken me three and a half years to get up enough

courage to come to this site after surgery. I had upper and

lower...lower advancment and for some reason (maybe money) he felt

the need to rotate my upper and move slightly forward. I knew

something was wrong from the beginning. Besides forgetting to remove

two stitches in my cheeks(they failed to mention i would have) i got

an infection in bottom jaw. . After 7 or so weeks of wired shut with

splint, wires were removed. The left side of my face seemed flat

with small sunken in area at top. I always felt my teeth were in too

far on left side. my cheek felt sucken in a empty. My surgeon Dr.

P. Stella in Ft Worth said it was normal aging that is why my

cheek was sunk in a little. I was 39. Before surgery I looked 29

maybe. I though it was a ortho problem, went to several orthodontist

before someone had the guts to tell me what i deep down knew.....MY

TOP JAW IS ON CROOKED.The could not pull teeth out any further. I

always feel a pulling on the left side and it feels as though it

pulls at my eye. After such a terrible surgery (and i am not a

whimp) I am scared to death to get it fixed but I do not think I can

live with this jaw that is too far over to my right and crooked.

Please help me. I do not know where to turn. What surgeon to seek

out and I don't think insurance will pay. Can anyone recommend a

surgeon in the D/FW area? I've heard of a Dr. Wolfford in Dallas

that does not wire jaw shut after. Guess I will have to start braces

again?????? GOD! My teeth were pretty straight before all this, I

just had a week bottom jaw thats all. I know I looked better before

though. AND felt better.
