Guest guest
Hi all! Well, I have negotiated with my surgeon to take my splint out a week early, so that means I only have 2 1/2 weeks left. (I have a wedding to go to, so I really wanted it out!) I had both jaws done (to correct an underbite), the top jaw moved up, and the top jaw expanded (the roof of my mouth expanded). What can I expect when this splint comes out? The splint is attached somehow, and feels like it will hurt to come out. Will there be any extra yucky skin under there? Will I be able to eat real food when it comes out? I've been wearing my rubber bands good and doing all of my workouts, but I still can't open my mouth that far. Maybe 12 - 14 mm ??? What will I eat first?......
