Hi all. I've been using Yogourmet starter for 4 yrs and as a sub. I tried a

greek yogurt at the market. I liked the way it turned out - much thicker and

not as tart.

Does anyone know of a legal starter yielding the same results ? I must say that

we didn't suffer any effects from the illegals but prefer to use a compliant

one.

Thanks,

Fage Total Greek yogurt, full fat is great.  It does not have acidolpholus though but not as tart and very thick especially if dripped.  It's legal.  Check the 2% or 0% fat version though--not sure it's legal and it drips a lot of water; a lot more tart.  But with Fage and 1/2 n 1/2--it's a great combination for desserts or salad dressing imho.
