Guest guest
I just read this in a report from Dr. Wm. s, III, MD and author of " Real Health, " a monthly newsletter I get. This guy is a bit of a maverick, so I'm not quite sure what to think about the really high (in my opinion) doses he recommends of Vit D. Anyone have any thoughts, comments? I do take extra D, magnesium, and manganese. Don't get tested for manganese, but D and mag are okay, altho the D is slipping a bit on the last labs. Carol A ------------------------------------ Osteoporosis - calcium supplements won't do you any good if you don't get enuf vit D3 (5000-25000 units a day) and enuf magnesium (500-1000 mg). In order to properly assimilate calcium, your body needs 2b on the alkaline side, and for that, u need enuf D, magnesium, and manganese. A recent study in Belgium found that every person with osteoporosis was manganese deficient. To test for alkalinity, get a test kit for pH levels, called Hydrion papers or Nitrazine strips, available in most drug stores. If you're deficient, increase your vit D by 5000 units. Have a good holistic doc check your magnesium and manganese levels. For referral of holistic docs, call .
