Guest guest
for your lovely support posts yesterday when I was in front of my brick wall. Really appreciated them. The brick wall is still there today but I've decided to set up a lemonade stand in front of it and try to sell lemonade until i figure out how to climb over the wall. Yesterday I went to see Crash at the movies. Not the happiest of movies but very powerful I thought and it certainly helped put perspective on my little brick wall. It was also nice just being out again. I even went out for dinner after with my girlfriends. I had miso soup and managed to eat it out in a public restaurant without slurping the whole contents all over myself. Not bad:-) Needless to say I was exhausted by the time I got home so my advice to all pre- opers is that post-op, even when you feel that you are doing much better, don't underestimate how little energy you actually have. I'm happy to report that I am losing a bit of my stitches every day. They come out in little pieces every time i rinse my mouth post-teeth brushing. At day 11 post-op a lot of the sensation in my mouth has come back which means I was able to roll back my upper and lower lips and see what is going on in there a lot more easily. I saw where I have stitches on the top and bottom and it's one LOOOOOOOOOOOONG stitch all across my top and bottom gums. Kind of cool, albeit grosse. But nice to know where everything is. Question to post-opers who are on elastic bands, the less tight ones. Do you feel sometimes like when you bite down that your jaw goes off- centred? I woke up today feeling like that and got a little worried that my jaw doesn't know where it's supposed to go despite the splint. Ok, enough for now. I have a banana milkshake calling my name.
