Guest guest
Carol, my mother pointed out that I have actually been using the ice packs only when my jaw joints hurt and not so much to attack the swelling. She feels it's the arnica cream that has been helping. Perhaps. The ice sure does numb the pain, this I know for a fact. I tried wetting a face cloth last night in hot water and did hot packs like that. I don't kno if it helped but my face seems even less lopsided today so hip hip hooray! This cold vs hot packs dilemma is one thing I forgot to ask Dr. Sachs about. I have a BBB right near me here on the upper west side so I shall try and go and see about that bed buddy you mentioned. The idea of a bed buddy sounds nice regardless of swelling:-) Sara > Sara, > I'm not 100% sure if this is right, but I remember being told to use > ice only for the first 5 days or so and then to switch to heat.
