Guest guest
There's a blues song that goes: dump that chump, shed that schmuck, lose that loser! They are talking about lovers, of course, but for some strange reason that's the first thing that popped into my mind when I read your message. If he read his own medical literature, he would already know the stuff you tried to share with him! We are very careful on this site to check out the sources of information. Of course there are loose cannons on the Internet that will promote anything, but FSR is a highly-respected organization that sponsors a good deal of the research on sarcoidosis. They are closely associated with Dr. Om Sharma in So. California, probably one of the top 2 sarc docs in the world. What are your options on doctors? Is this bozo a neurologist or what? Can you ask your primary care provider for another local neurologist, maybe the one you talked to when you went to the E.R., who was speechless at the high dose of Pred you were on. And yes, go to the conference--these people will help empower you to demand medical providers who are respectful, open & knowledgeable. Arrrrgggghhhhh! I was starting to get sleepy until I read that. Now I'm wide awake, so I'll get the rest of the messages caught up. ; ) Ramblin' RoseModerator A merry heart is good medicine. I saw my doctor today and seems like the 100 pred is starting to get to me (remember I have been taking it for almost 1 month)...I have to have a fast blood test tomorrow as my neck and face have started to swell up and my blood sugar non-fasting was 171. He is irritated with me as I brought some of your ides, messages or medical journal information to him. He told me anyone could be writing those and really didn't want to hear about any of it. And when I mentioned going to the NS convention sponsored by the Sarcoidosis Research Center in November - he told me most of those are money makers no real science just people out to get my money. He said now with the internet patients are getting all kinds of information - not necessary sound information. Also, can anxiety cause my tongue to go numb? That is what he told me that I am being anxious over everything and the numbness is caused by anxiety? I am going bonkers here seriously!!!!!!!!!!
