Thanks, Sara. I ended up in ER again last night, finally figured

I'm allergic to codeine. It was causing my throat to close up. But

since they have just opened my airway up with the surgery my oxygen

saturation stayed ok. Since I have been a mouth breather, the

breathing through throat that was closing up was making me gasp for

air just like the sleep apnea. They gave liquid benadryl and it

immediately had some effect on the throat. It all makes sense now.

And since Darvon(propox-N) is also a derivative of codeine that

explains why the reaction with Darvon did me in Tues night and

liquid hydrocodone did me in last night. Two nights without

sleep!! I am just taking Tylenol now. Stopped all pain meds!!

Hopefully tonight I will be able to sleep.

Good luck with your OS appt. and for a safe journey to Italy.
