Can anyone tell me what canted means?

I was just wondering if anyone knows what it means if your jaw is

canted. I was told I have an overbite, an overjet, my midline is off,

and that my jaw was canted. I also have a gummy smile. I was given

so much info that day that I didn't even think to ask. I always think

of things I should have asked after my appt. is long over. What

started as lower surgery has turned into having both jaws fixed and

possibly the chin. I have been in braces for about a year and a half

and just waiting to be told I'm ready. Anyways, if anyone knows what

that term means, I would be glad to know what it is. Thanks!
