Guest guest
Hi! I have been on here a while and I know I have read posts about this but you know you never really pay attention until it affects you. My hair is coming out big time I am 14 wks post opt and it has been for like two weeks. It's really freakin' me out because I have alot of hair in my hand everytime I run my fingers through it. OMG it's scary. I have been getting my protien so that's not it. My question is how long does it last? Luckily I have really thick hair but I am beginning to wonder wil I need a wig soon? Everyone says it's not noticible but I am losing alot of hair. Please help! Angie
Guest guest
I'm going thru the same thing Angie, have been since about 12 weeks out and I'm at 19 weeks now. It seems to be letting up a little, everyone keeps telling me it's not noticable as well, I can feel it though and see it in my hand so I know I'm not going crazy . I make sure to get my protein and take Biotin and Hair/Skin/Nail pills (available at most drug stores). I'm not sure any of it is doing any good though, I think it just happens. Guest guest
Hi Mimi, Yes I do have some mercury fillings. No thermometer broke, no new environment and I eat very little fish. I have talked to my dentist to get price quotes on removing the mercury fillings. Now to come up with the money Thanks, -- Re: hair loss Hi , Hair loss is a symptom of mercury poisoning. Do you have mercury fillings( silver colored fillings) in your teeth? Are you eating more fish? Did you break a thermometer? Are you working in a new place that is more contaminated? Guest guest
Hi , Thanks for the info. I do see that my multivitamin has biotin and the B-Complex plus vitamin I take also has biotin in it. I am presently taking no medications. Thanks, -- Re: hair loss , I also have a problem with hair loss. I have read that it is a common side effect of medications such as Asacol. Hair loss can also be caused by malnutrition, which is caused by diarrhea and malabsorbtion. A stressful event or illness can lead to hair loss. Some people have suggested Biotin supplements, which make your hair grow faster. I haven't tried the Biotin yet, but I have found that eating a lot of jello and taking care of my health is very helpful. Guest guest
, Removing mercury fillings should only be done by dentists who specialize in the removal of mercury. Removal by an ordinary dentist might do more damage. If you live in Ca or Tx, you might want to cross the border. I have heard that there are 2 good dentists in Tijuana. I have also heard about dentists who bad in Tijuana. Please avoid Dr Morales. I got the name of the 2 good dentists in Tijuana by contacting a famous alternative clinic there and asking them for a recommendation. Mimi > Hi Mimi, > > Yes I do have some mercury fillings. Guest guest
Regarding hair loss - be sure to have your thyroid checked. I used to have lovely hair until my thyroid became unstable and then it started falling out rapidly. It's a simple blood test. I have found that taking evening primrose oil helps slow the loss. Guest guest
tell them to check your TSH, free T4 and free T3. my doctor checks them all. If T3 is off, my body is out of whack. good luck > > > > > > Hi , > > > > > > Thanks for the info. I was told I was " normal " yet my hair was falling out and I was always tired. When I finally got retested, the doctor was telling me the same story but I insisted on a copy of my reports. I was within treatment range as per the new ranges but the lab had not yet updated their information. I had to be very stubborn to get my thyroid meds.
