Connie, you have no idea how excited I am to see your pictures -- we

look a lot alike! Well, you're lots prettier, but we have similar

chins. I haven't seen many people with a chin like me so I'm excited.

I searched back through some of your messages and saw that you had

upper and lower advancement. I am only having lower advancement (next

Friday), also for a deep overbite, like you.

Did you have genioplasty? What exactly did you have done to your lower

jaw? Mine will be moved forward and tilted a bit. My surgeon has told

me that this will lengthen my face and make my chin somewhat less

prominent. Unfortunately, my chin " bump " is muscle, not bone (like

yours), so genio wouldn't be an option.

Your pictures look great. I hope my results are as good. I have been

so anxious and curious about how my looks will change. It sounds like

it won't be as dramatic a change as I'd hoped for, but I'm still

hoping it will be noticeably better.

I will post some pictures tomorrow or Monday so you all can finally

see what I look like. I hate my looks, especially my profile, so it's

hard to share pictures.
