Guest guest
If I may recommend a resource: Beaudette, the ZipnSqueeze lady, puts out a small, spiral bound book called " The Healing Jaw. " I forget the price, but you'll find it on her website. The book is a treasure of information, especially for those who are wired, and has a great variety of recipes adaptable to liquid, soft and no-chew diets. I also liked her jaw wraps, for what that's worth. As I wasn't wired, I didn't need the zippie bags. If you have enough time ahead of you to make it worthwhile, check out her site. She's also good about overnighting things, I think, if you can catch her on the phone. Cammie > > I had my surgery a little over a week ago and so far everything has > > gone fine. Guest guest
If you can use a syringe to inject, get the thickest IV tube you can find to attach to the syringe and blend down lasagna.. disgusting as it sounds, t was proabbalyl the best blended thing i had whilst wired. I used tomoatoe sauce to drum it down a little so it woudl puree. Get past the though of dirnking it and you're golden. Another one of my favorites to avoide the sweet was smoothies. They were still sweet but more so tangy which made up for the sweet. Costco sells bags of frozen mixed chopped fruit and that was soo good for smoothy. It had melons, grapes, straw, rasp and blue berries, cantelope, pineapple adn lots of other fruit I cant remember in it. Half a cup of milk, half a cup of OJ and some of the fruit and it was soo good. At night I woudl throw in some dilaudid and pretend I was having a drink of rum..lol. Another great blended alternative to sweet is mashed potatoes.... lipton side kicks are teh best as far as instant goes... they can be spiced up so good to avoide sweetness andblend down perfect with gravy... just giver... think like you're wired shut...
