Garlic powder - is it legal?

I have bought a garlic powder from the supermarket. It lists no ingredients

(other similar herbs and spices say caking agent etc.). I want to find out for

definite if it is legal. I am prepared to write to the manufacturers but I

wanted some advice on what I should ask them. Can anyone who has done this sort

of thing help?
