Guest guest
I remember for us that it was also difficult to get our dd to stay asleep. We ended up co-sleeping. She would start in her bed and then come into ours when she awoke. Our smell, and me nursing, caused her to fall back asleep and stay asleep. HTH! Jen Mom to Luli - 3 yrs old Torticollis, Plagio, Syringomyelia 9mth old son just banded, will not sleep PLEASE HELP I am looking for suggestions on trying to help my son sleep with his band on. It has only been 5 days but it is not going well. He used to take 2 naps during the day for 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours. Now with the doc band on he will only sleep 30mins the whole day. When we lay him down at night he will pass out because he is so tired but he will only stay asleep for 30-60 mins and then wake up screaming. We have not noticed any skin irritations, we have tried cooler clothing and a really soft pillow under the crib protector but nothing seems to be working. And we cannot bear to let him cry it out and just leave it on all night. Does anyone have any suggestions? I spoke to the clinician that did the band for us and she thought this was odd that he is having sleeping problems? Any suggestions would be great...Thank you! Guest guest
most kids do take at least a fweek or more to get used to sleeping in the helmet. my son still does not sleep as well in the helmert, but it does seem to help laying a thin pad or blanket under his body to help keep his head more level, maybe try that. keeping the band on he should get used to it soon. le 9 mos From: tavian050209 <tavian050209@...>Subject: 9mth old son just banded, will not sleep PLEASE HELPPlagiocephaly Date: Monday, February 22, 2010, 8:48 PM I am looking for suggestions on trying to help my son sleep with his band on.
