Guest guest
Michele I'm glad to hear that you are finally doing better. You had such a rough start with the 2nd surgery and all. It sounds like things are finally on the right track. Isn't it the wierdest feeling to get the wires cut? My firends and family keep asking why I sound the same, and how come I can't eat now. I try to explain that I haven't moved my jaw in 6 weeks, and it will take a while to get used to moving again. Right now, I can fit my pinky finger in the opening with my splint on. If I had my splint off, I think I would be able to fit my ring finger. Hopefully, before I know it I will fit my thumb, then more than 1 finger. I just can't wait to eat a piece of pizza. I have lost 21 pounds so far, and I think that may be all that I lose because I will finally be able to start eating again. > > Carol > > > > My OS says that he keeps the splint in for a week to make sure that > > the jaw is returning to the proper place.
