Guest guest
Hi Group, I've been on the diet 92 days now and have been vacationing in Hawaii for the last 5 days with 3 more to go before heading home. I have had mostly success with staying on the diet. I even found that I do seem to be ready for white bean soup at Mala restaurant in Wailea, which must have been prepared similarly to the SCD specs because I've had it everyday and it feels good to eat it. I have yeast issues and the last 3 days have been eating a small amount of blueberries and one or two bites of very ripe (brown spotted) banana just before having poached eggs with sauteed spinach for breakfast. This hasn't bothered me at all till this morning when I had the blueberries and banana but then waited over an hour to have breakfast. Now I feel nauseous and achey. (I have fibromyalgia in addition to IBS, and certain foods do tend to make the fibro-aching much worse.) My plan is to stay away from all fruits for the remainder of the trip, and have some fresh unsweetened lemon/water/gray sea salt drink which has in the past settled my stomach and helped to clear the yeast. That's all I can think of that might help the nausea and aching, but if anyone has advice I'd appreciate hearing it since I'd like to enjoy the last few days of this amazing island paradise! Aloha! Hot springs mineral baths and epsom salt baths. Have a great time in Hawaii for the next few days! Lucky you. Mara
