Guest guest
Hi, We are very concerned and would like to know whether the following are considered " normal " symptoms for someone who has ulcerative colitis, or if there could be something else going on in addition, something serious... Fever over the past few weeks - fluctuating from 99.- to 102; feeling generally very unwell; feeling very tired; very pale/green complexion; unable to eat or drink much; high white count (15.5); high sedimentation rate (65); low red blood count/anemia (10.1) - yet no real flare up abdominally of the colitis symptoms (i.e. bleeding, diarrhea...); & is taking Lialda. Is this all a normal part of the illness, or should we be very concerned that something else is going on in the body, something seriously wrong? If it is a " normal " part of the illness, how is this treated / does the person ever recover / if so, when? Thank you. HM
