Guest guest
When she sleeps, we can hear popping and growling sounds coming out of her stomach / intestine area. Is this normal for UC? Can something done to control this. Is it food causing this? Does anyone else have similar experience?Lol my stomach is ridiculously noisy!! It could mean any number of things; gas, blockage, probiotics, food intolerance, or nothing at all. If that's her only symptom, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Mine gurgles all the time and it never seems to be connected to anything. Cheers!Alyssa 16 yo UC April 2008, dx Sept 2008SCD June 2009 (restarted)Prednisone 10 mg 1x per day (trying to wean!!!!) Guest guest
Mine has been making a crazy noise lately too. When I have been in remission there isn't much noise but close to relapse I have noticed it too. When she sleeps, we can hear popping and growling sounds coming out of her stomach / intestine area. Guest guest
For my daughter, it does not happen all the time. She does not have gas. We trying to connect the dots to what might be causing it but have'nt come to any conclusion as yet. > > > > >> When she sleeps, we can hear popping and growling sounds coming out > >> of her stomach / intestine area. Guest guest
LOL- I think I was just discussing this with someone else recently- the whole stomach/noise issue. I am a gurlgler too! It's definitely something new with SCD. You would think now that we are pureeing our food it would be the opposite effect, right? I've just learned to embrace it and look at it as something good goin' on (the good bacteria having a party?). -Joanna SCD 9/2009, Crohn's 1992, 22.5 mg Prednisone > > Mine has been making a crazy noise lately too. We always think we will remember what events are connected with what foods, but we rarely do. It's also a wonderful reference to look back through in a few months when you feel as if you haven't gotten anywhere. Then you go back through your journal and see how much better things are. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
